Do you want to raise more money and connect with more supporters this year on the global day of giving, #GivingTuesday?

If you aren’t familiar with this phenomenon, #GivingTuesday is a global social good movement designed to encourage people to give back the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, as an antidote to the shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Some eye-opening statistics:

76% of 18-34-year-olds who are aware of #GivingTuesday participate in some way, either giving of their time, or money, or taking an advocacy action.

82% of nonprofits take this opportunity to experiment with something new.

The old ways to grab attention don’t work anymore, and simply sending out one email and telling your donors that you are participating in this international day of giving is not enough.

In my latest flash class with DonorSearch, I go over exactly what is required in promoting a successful #GivingTuesday campaign for your nonprofit.

Slides are below.
