Love it or hate it, the world’s most popular social network turns 12 today! Happy Birthday Facebook!
This infographic from One Productions lays out the past, present, and future of Facebook.
What’s in store for Facebook in the next 12 years, and beyond? Here are 3 main priorities:
Artificial Intelligence: Facial-recognition technology, fully connected devices, and even more mobile apps will give Facebook even more data to help it understand what matters most to it’s 1 billion daily users.
Virtual Reality: Through Oculus and 360 degree videos, Facebook wants to layer virtual objects into the real world and enhance users’ experiences.
Internet.org: This is my personal favorite – connecting the global community through Internet technologies! Zuckerberg thinks Internet access is a basic human right, and he aims to connect the 60% of the world’s population who are not online.
What do you think? What’s in store for Facebook this year and the next decade?
