I hope that you are in the Boston area on October 19th, because you do not want to miss the Boston Social Media for Nonprofits Conference!
Grab your coffee and don’t be late, because yours truly is presenting at 10 AM! Topic: 11 Steps to a Successful Nonprofit Social Media Strategy.
Description: Creating a strategy for using social media is no longer optional for nonprofits. Social media tools include a fast-changing and constantly growing collection of web-based and mobile technologies. These tools turn formerly broadcast and one-way messages into an interactive conversation and can be hugely effective for social change organizations.
In this session, we will outline the 11 steps that your organization can take to create a strategy and plan for your social media efforts. A little planning goes a long way!
I am thrilled to be joined by other esteemed speakers in the nonprofit marketing field:
Ritu Sharma, CEO & Co-Founder, Social Media for Nonprofits – Marrying Mobile With Social

Julia – I didn’t even know there was a conference for social media for non-profits! I wish I would’ve known sooner. I’ve been doing social/website for Hanaeleh Horse Rescue (I’m on the board) and I’m a passionate animal advocate. HSUS/Homes for Horses Coalition asked me to do a webinar for them in November. I’m finding I’d like to do a bit of work with non-profits. I’ll put this on my calendar for next year. Any tips you can give me would be awesome! Have a great conference. I hope your presentation goes really well!
